Celebrating Community and Service at Annual Drive for The Troops Event with USO of Illinois

At Ray Chevrolet of Fox Lake, community engagement and support are at the heart of everything we do. This year, we proudly participated in the Annual Drive for the Troops Event, in collaboration with the USO of Illinois. With the help of our wonderful community, we raised an impressive $5,000 to directly support military service members and their families.

The Annual Drive For The Troops Event brought people together in a meaningful way. From thrilling rides in test drives to a mouthwatering BBQ, every activity helped raise both awareness and funds for an important cause.

Test Drive for a Cause

Visitors had the unique opportunity to “Drive for a Cause” and experience the latest Chevrolet models up close, all while giving back to the USO of Illinois. For every test drive taken during the event, a generous donation was made to the USO. Participants got to enjoy the excitement of exploring our vehicles while playing an active role in supporting military families.

Car Show Extravaganza

Car enthusiasts were in for a treat with an impressive display of vehicles at the car show. The event saw participation from the Jeeps on the Run group and the Illinois Camaro Club, showcasing an array of amazing vehicles that drew attention and admiration from attendees. Their presence added an extra layer of excitement, bringing together car lovers of all ages.

BBQ and Community Fun

No community event is complete without great food, and our BBQ offerings didn’t disappoint. Families bonded over delicious bites while enjoying the vibrant and welcoming atmosphere. The Round Lake Beach Police Department also joined the event, fostering a stronger connection between local law enforcement and our community.

Supporting the USO of Illinois

For over a decade, Ray Chevrolet has consistently supported the USO of Illinois through events like this. Since 2013, we have proudly contributed more than $55,000 to this vital organization. These funds play a crucial role in sustaining the USO’s initiatives, which include providing essential programs, services, and resources to service members and their families.
