Performance
The 2022 Chevy Colorado isn’t just for off-road adventurers. Its powertrain options are suitable for nearly everyone. The base engine is a four-cylinder 3.6-liter v-6 that generates a speedy 308 horsepower and 275 lb-ft of torque. There’s also a 2.8-liter turbo-diesel engine that produces 181 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque. Despite the smaller frame, it has an impressive max payload capacity of 1,550 pounds and a max trailering capacity of 7,700 pounds. If you’re looking to save on fuel, the diesel engine two-wheel drive is the most fuel-efficient. It's EPA rating is 20 mpg city and 30 mpg highway.
Exterior and Interior
One of the primary changes to the 2022 Colorado is the all-new Trail Boss package. For the LT and Z71 models, it improves the off-road capabilities. In addition, the package adds bold skid plates to the middle and front of its underbelly. There’s a leveling kit that provides a one-inch lift to the suspension.
The Chevy Colorado interior has quite the spacious cockpit giving you plenty of comfort for you and your front passenger. It features two-bed lengths, a standard 5-foot-2inch short bed, and an extended 6-foot-2-inch bed to hold your gear. The extended cab length is still longer than its rivals.
As for the infotainment features, the Work Truck base model has a 7-inch diagonal color touchscreen, and the other models have an 8-inch diagonal screen. The Chevrolet infotainment system comes with a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot with available data.
