Don’t Miss the Spotlight-Stealing 2019 Chevy Corvette at Chicago Auto Show

“Everybody look left, everybody look right, everywhere you look I'm—standing in the spotlight … Oh, I just can't wait to be king!”

The Corvette doesn’t have to wait any longer. With the debut of the 2019 Chevy Corvette came the nickname, “The King.”

Just like muscular, raw strength, power and precision of a lion, the new Corvette ZR1 demands respect. With range-topping speeds of 212 mph, the ZR1 is the fastest yet, competing with the likes of the Porsche 911.

It’s not a car to pass by at the 2019 Chicago Auto Show—just like the 2018 Corvette at a Chevy dealership. Stop and check out these beauties any chance you get!

Generating 755 horsepower and over 600 pounds-feet of torque, the 2019 Corvette’s supercharged 6.2-liter V8 is paired with a seven-speed manual or eight-speed automatic transmission. Which, by the way, is completely new for the ZR1: it’s never been offered with an automatic transmission prior to this model.

Did we mention that it is the fastest-ever Corvette? The 2019 ZR1 reaches 0-60 mph in less than three seconds.

Just like Mufasa and Simba’s fiery manes, the ZR1 Corvette is offered in a Sebring Orange. With this blazing exterior coat also comes with orange brake calipers, orange rocker and splitter accent stripes, orange seat belts, orange interior stitching and unique, bronze aluminum interior trim in the package.

Inside the luxurious cockpit, standard leather-trimmed seats await with heated and vented Napa leather-trimmed seating available with 3ZR trim, as well as a leather carbon fiber-rimmed steering wheel, Bose premium audio system and Performance Data Recorder.

Designed with an aluminum chassis and extensive use of carbon fiber, this Corvette weighs about 60 pounds less than the coupe model. The meticulously crafted chevron-patterned carbon-fiber halo hood and engine cover were designed to shed weight and accelerate.

The 2019 model has two aero packages available: the standard rear Low Wing and available two-way-adjustable High Wing. The High Wing is part of the ZR1’s ZTK Performance Package and offers maximum downforce (60 percent more than the Z06 with its Z07 Performance Package). This compares to the Low Wing, which delivers the highest top speed and offers 20 percent less drag than its counterpart.

Chevy doesn’t just deliver this kind of speed without safety. With an available rearview camera and blind-spot monitoring, anti-lock brakes, stability and traction control and dual-front and front-side airbags, this new Corvette provides stability and security.
