Advanced Changes for an Advanced Vehicle

New Design

The new look comes with a modern exterior, roomier interior and state-of-the-art technology. Outside, the Equinox received a new face-lift for a more sculpted look. The models feature chrome trim and nods to the Malibu with projector-beam headlights, LED day lights and horizontal taillights. Inside, you’ll find a compact instrument panel, lower windshield for better visibility and the option for denim-style seat fabric.

A Powerful Drive

With the ability to tow trailers up to 3500 pounds, the Equinox is a powerhouse that combines strength with a smooth, sleek drive. EPA ratings for the Equinox diesel are 28 mpg in city and 39 highway, the all-wheel drive offers 28 mpg in city and 38 highway.

The Turbo-Diesel

It’s all about that engine. Under the Premier’s hood, you’ll find a 1.6-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder diesel engine. Built for power, the Premier TD front-drive model is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission and boasts 137 horsepower and 240 foot-pounds of torque. The TD also comes with the option of two turbocharged gasoline engines: the 1.5-liter inline or the 2.0-liter inline. The 1.5 is equipped with six-speed automatic transmission with 170 horsepower and 203 foot-pounds of torque. The 2.0 boasts a bold nine-speed automatic with 252 horsepower and 260 foot-pounds of torque. Simply put, this Diesel Equinox is up for any challenge you throw its way.
