A Review of the 2018 Chevy Tahoe
The Chevy Tahoe has been a continuous award winning vehicle, being on the Chevrolet lineup for about two decades now and never disappointing. The 2018 Tahoe won the 2018 5-Year Cost to Own by Kelley Blue Book, one award amongst several others the brand has received over the years. Across the automotive websphere bloggers have been reviewing the Tahoe, and here’s what we’ve gathered:
The full sized SUV seats up to seven people. Reports say the third row is a bit cramped, but what it lacks in space it makes up for in the engine. The 2018 Tahoe is an 8 cylinder, 6.2 L engine with a 10 speed transmission and four wheel drive. Roadshow by CNET reviewed the Tahoe as a monster, saying “power is plentiful and accessible throughout the engine's rev range.”
Cars US News rated the 2018 Tahoe an 8.9/10 overall. The lowest marks were on the interior, stating that the third row is small and there is not a lot of cargo room. However the new 6.2 L 8-cylinder engine is a nice addition to this old timer, as well as some extra towing power and four wheel drive. Another 2018 feature is the LED day driving lamps and a Borla performance exhaust system and Borla brake system that is dealer installed only.
You can also spice up your Tahoe by adding available packages and special edition models- the Z71 Package, signature package, all-seasons package, the RST Edition, Midnight Edition, and many more!
Another perk is that the 2018 Chevy Tahoe has 7 USB plugs and 6 outlets. There is 4G LTE network available of course and an 8-inch display screen on the dash. New colors have been added to the Tahoe, a new Havana Metallic and Satin Steel Metallic. Motor Trend mentioned a pro of the 2018 Tahoe is the quick and smooth acceleration, however they actually thought the cargo space was a positive aspect of the Tahoe. The Magnetic Ride Control also makes the drive feel more in control over the vehicle.
Some safety features include standard front and side airbags, Forward Collision Alert, Side Blind Zone Alert, tire pressure alert, and Adaptive Cruise Control. Read more safety technology and other features on the 2018 Chevy Tahoe to come up with your own review of the vehicle!
